Mr. Freddie Milton Randolph, 82, lovingly known as “DOC” of Jacksonville FL passed away on May 9th, 2020, he was born in Vicksburg Mississippi, on September 15th, 1937 to the late Levi and Lucille Randolph. Mr. Randolph is preceded in death by his four brothers: Levi Randolph Junior, Alexander Randolph, and Robert Lee Randolph. Mr. Randolph with his parents relocated to San Diego, CA. where began his career in the United States Navy in 1957. While in the Navy, Freddie was he completed his education in 1956 from Edison High School of Fresno, California.
Upon his completion from high school Mr. Randolph united in holy matrimony on April 2nd, 1989 to Mrs. Diana Randolph who he lovingly refers to as “Babe”. During their 37 years of marriage, Freddie’s faith in Christ grew stronger as he valued his wife’s dedication and commitment to her love of the Lord. His witness and belief encouraged him to give his life to Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.
After retiring in 1989, with honors, as a Senior Chief Boatswains Mate and Navy Seal Mr. Randolph then continued his career as a Merchant Marine based out of Blount Island for the next 5 Years. Freddie had a passion for cooking his famous red beans and rice, and seafood spaghetti. He was also known for his wittiness and wisdom, in which he used to color the world with his “No Nonsense” metaphors of faith, love, and respect. Freddie loved to tell of his life at sea and how God made an incredible place to live and it was a shame if you didn’t take the take to visit it all.
Mr. Freddie Milton Randolph is survived by his loving wife Diana Randolph, daughter Morgan Randolph-Reale (Michael), and sons: Edward Van Dyke, and Juan Van Dyke (Aisha). Ten Grandchildren; Dejuan Forbes Jr., Derrion Randolph- Brummage, Aubrey Reale, Michael “Sal” Reale, Joaquina Van Dyke, Enrique Van Dyke, Ulysses Van Dyke, De’Montre Van Dyke, Sofia Van Dyke and Jalin Van Dyke: Niece and great niece and nephew: Tobie and Amber Macabe, and Mark Macabe. A host of other nieces and nephews and great beloved friends and family.
