Frank served the Lord faithfully at First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Florida for nearly 40 years. He was an usher, a member of the counting committee, and a deacon. It was his volunteer work at the Florida Baptist children’s home that he was the most proud of, but none of that compared to His walk with the Lord, who gets all the glory, honor and praise for everything Frank was able to do.
He is survived by his daughters, Kim McCanless and Lori Brecheen (David), 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, all of whom he loved very much. He is also survived by his brother, Virgil McCandless (Ann), many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Luther and Lillian McCandless, sisters Iola Ward and Susan Barnes, and brothers Clarence McCandless and Robert McCandless.
Though our hearts are shattered over this great loss, we rejoice in knowing he is with our Heavenly Father. He has been healed and is praising God with his beautiful wife and family and friends that have gone before him.
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4 NKJV
