Franklin Hale Adams of Ponte Vedra, FL- loving husband, father, grandfather, and proud University of Florida Alumnus- passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023, at the age of 81. He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Maria (aka Cress), his two children Scott (Shelagh) Adams and Carrie (Jeff) Councill, and his four grandchildren Kaitlin (Alex), Sarah (James), Matthew, and Lilly Adams. Frank was born on January 27, 1942 in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Hale and Frances Adams. After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in Political Science, he went on to have a successful 50 year career with IBM and Mainline. He retired as a respected member of the Sales team, having earned numerous top performer awards, including 18 Golden Circle Awards. Throughout his life, Frank had a passion for golf and was an avid fan of the Florida Gators Football Team. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his friends and family, playing cards, croquet, and eating lunch with the “Romeos” (Dupont High School friends). Frank was a kind and gentle soul who always put his family first. He was always there to offer a listening ear, provide sage advice, and lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who knew him. The family thanks all who have expressed their condolences and support.
In lieu of flowers, please share donations with Mayo Clinic, Community Hospice, and the Alzheimer’s Association. A private memorial service will be held in his honor with immediate family this summer. Additionally, a celebration of life gathering will be announced in the near future.
