Frances L. Messer, 82, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born March 11, 1934 to Charles and Bessie Erwin in Waynesville, NC. Frances loved going to her church and her faith in Jesus was very strong. She loved spending time with her family. Frances is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years James Harold Messer. She is survived by 1 daughter Shelia (Chester) Hall, 1 sister Susie Bell, 2 brothers Billy Erwin, Ben Erwin, 4 grandchildren Dalena (Stephen), Renee (Corry), Terry (David), Kevin (Sandi), 5 great-grandchildren Jennelle (Dustin) Amber (Harley), Morgan, Payton, Kambre, 1 great-great grandchild Shelby as well as 2 on the way, several nieces and nephews. A visitation for friends will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205 from 10-11am with funeral services to begin at 11am and interment at Riverside Memorial Park.
