Florence was a long time Jacksonville resident, born in Brooklyn New York. Florence raised her own children and nine grandchildren, Andrea, Amy, Alison, Joanna, Michael, Matt, Jennifer, Tara and Max like any Jewish mother in those days...with lots of wonderful home cooked meals. Along the way she never gave up her love of art. She made macramé tapestries and drew and painted life figures. Later she became involved with clay. She worked with the Crown’s craftsmen gallery and her dear friend Vina Schemer and many other artist friends. Florence transformed her garage into an art studio. With a kiln, she made beautiful clay menorahs, as well as many other things that were displayed and sold at the JCA. She enjoyed teaching pottery there as well. She was a great cook, artist, and loving person who touched many lives. Florence was truly an amazing woman, kind and warm hearted to everyone she crossed paths with. She was an inspiration to her family, friends and many others. Florence will live on in our hearts forever. We all love you and will miss you dearly.
