Evelyn Fales completed her journey July 12, 2020. She was born in November of 1940, in Jacksonville Florida. Evelyn was the oldest of six children; Alvin Mangham, Eugene (Joyce) Mangham, Jeanette (Jerry) Timmons, Mary Watkins, and Charles Mangham, who precedes her in death.
Evelyn was a loving mother to five children. She will be remembered by Brenda (Stephen) Bell, Shelia (Joe) Lengyel, and Jack Nash. Awaiting her arrival in heaven are her two children, Cynthia Williams and Curtis Nash. Her memory will be carried by her seven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, who she dearly loved to brag about. If you stood still long enough, you’d learn all twenty-four names complete with photographs. No one was safe from her pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Evelyn anticipated heaven with a joyful attitude. She happily rejoins the love of her life and husband of 23 years, James “Jim” Fales, who she missed very much. They enjoyed traveling, dancing, and adventures. They could frequently be found eating out, going to Beach Bop events, or hosting holiday celebrations with family.
Evelyn was a beloved sister, mother, and Memaw. She will be missed dearly. We celebrate her life and honor her memory.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205, on Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
