KING, Emma D, age 93, of Fleming Island, FL passed away on April 6, 2016 after a lengthy illness. Emma was born in Bardstown, KY on February 6, 1923. She was married to Lt. Col. William G. King (Bill) on April 5, 1941. A military wife, they lived all over the world and were blessed with 7 children, who adored them: Virginia Rosenthal (Richard); Patricia Winship (Jack); Beverly Waddington; Barbara Little-Underhill; Cheri Turner; Bill King; and Gerry King (Jean). She also had 18 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all who cherished their Grandma and Aunt Emma D. Having lived a long and happy life, she was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and her beloved husband. A small, private funeral will be held on Sunday April 10 at Riverside Memorial Park. Arrangements by Town and Country Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, and others who helped Mrs. King over the years.
