Emily Grisham Murphy, age 95, passed away on February 9th, 2017. A Jacksonville resident since 1925, Emily was active member of the Landon High School Alumni Association, a lifetime member and officer of the Jacksonville Offshore Sport Fishing Club and past president of the Southside Bowling League.
She was preceded in her passing by her husband of 54 years, Patrick H. Murphy Jr., five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by sons, Patrick H Murphy (Maureen) of Stuart, Florida and Michael A. Murphy (Kakie) of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Lisa McGoye (Rob); and three great-grandsons, (Nicholas, Thomas and Ryan McGoye) of Vero Beach.
In-lieu-of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Jacksonville Offshore Sport Fishing Club ~ Artificial Reef Fund at PO Box 331185, Atlantic Beach, FL, 32233. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 18th, at 1:00pm at the Glynlea Grace United Methodist Church at 6429 Atlantic Blvd. Reverend Laurence Coles officiating.
