Mrs. Hill was a resident of Jacksonville for over 50 years, where she and her husband, William C. Hill, owned and operated Atlas Oil & Gas Co. for over 30 years. She served as Worthy Matron of the Brentwood Eastern Star Chapter, and was active in Khem Temple Daughters of the Nile. She later moved to Starke, FL where she owned and operated 301 Liquors & Lounge for a number of years before retiring.
She was predeceased by two husbands, William C. Hill of Madison, FL and Dwight A. Smith of Covington, KY.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Andrea Pennell (Charles “Jake”), a son, Robert E. “Bob” Hill, a brother, Willis H. Fowler, two grandchildren, Jill Hill Fane and William “Bill” Hill, four great grandchildren, Maxwell Fane, Isabella Fane, Braden Hill, and Tanner Hill, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
Family will receive visitors Saturday, March 25, 2017, 10:00 am to 11:00 am, and the celebration of her life begins at 11:00 am at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207
. Inurnment will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
