Ellen "JoAnn" (Divens) Ramsey, born on September 7, 1931 in Levelgreen, Pennsylvania, to the late Signa Divens and the late Robert Divens, passed away at age 87 on April 17, 2019 at Westminster Woods in Saint Johns, Florida. She graduated from Penn Trafford High School in 1949. JoAnn was the loving wife of the late Lawrence Wayne Ramsey, Sr. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Ramsey; brothers, John Mannerberg, Arthur Divens, and Robert Divens; and sisters, Margaret Molt, Marie Adams, and Catherine Divens. JoAnn is survived by her sons, Lawrence Ramsey Jr his wife Debra, Richard Ramsey his wife Jeanette, and Douglas Ramsey his wife Maria; brother, James Divens; and sister, Shirley Malvasi. Her grandchildren Matthew, Kyle, Christopher, Jacqueline, Daniel, Rebecca, Nicole, and Angela. Her great-grandchildren Gabriel, Harlan, and Ezra. Our mom enjoyed square dancing with dad. She was an avid traveler. Mom was our biggest fan, spending many a day in the bleachers, auditoriums, and award ceremonies. She was a Honorary Life Member of the Presbyterian Women and a Deacon at her previous Presbyterian churches along with Geneva Presbyterian Church. Our mom was never one to complain, everything in her life "was good". Our mother was a care-giver to her sister Catherine who had Muscular Distrophy. As expression of sympathy memorial donations in JoAnn's name can be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, Meals on Wheels, and/or Community Hospice are welcome and appreciated. Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation on Monday, April 22 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Hardage Giddens, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida, 32223. A funeral service will take place, officiated by Reverend Joe Albright, on Tuesday, April 23 at 11:30 AM at Geneva Presbyterian, 1755 State Rd 13 N, Saint Johns, Florida, 32259. The graveside service, officiated by Reverend Joe Albright, will follow at Palm Valley Cemetary, Ponte Vedra, Florida. Reception to follow graveside service at fellowship hall Geneva Presbyterian Church.
