Ellen J. Joyce, 88, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on June 21, 2014. Born in Savannah, GA, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, and friend. Ellen was devoted to her family and was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by her mother, Ilah Johnson, she is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, James I. Joyce; children, Linda J. Williams (Richard), Barbara J. Jarvis, James R. Joyce, and Ilah Y. Willis; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. The Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 25th in Greenlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Curtis Harrington as Officiant. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery will follow. Memorial contributions may be made in Ellen’s name to Community Hospice of NE FL.
