Elizabeth Dunn Logan

Elizabeth Dunn Logan “Betty” was born on March 4, 1932 in Columbus, GA. She passed away on February 6, 2024 in Jacksonville, FL. She married Henry H. Logan, Jr. “Sonny” on October 10, 1953. She worked as a secretary for various places before working at the Florida Baptist Convention from which she retired. Betty and Sonny had two children, David and Linda. She was a faithful member at First Baptist Church Jacksonville, FL and a member of a ladies’ Sunday School class. She was also a member of The Garden Club of Jacksonville. She enjoyed and tended to a variety of plants and had a marvelous green thumb.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Lee Dunn, Jr. and Loulie Pou Dunn, as well as her sister Loulie Dunn Driggers, and her husband Henry H. Logan. Jr.

She is survived by her brother Henry Lee Dunn, III “Hinky” and his wife Sara. She is also survived by her son David [Beth] and their children: Daniel [Kaylyn]; Ruth Ann Hodges [Matthew]; Sarah Ballantine [Cory]; Nathan [Cassandra]; Rebekah McLain [Michael]; Joshua; and Mary. She is also survived by her daughter Linda Gilleon [Spence] and their children Amy and Spencer [Irene].

She also leaves behind 15 great grandchildren: Annabelle, Claire, Anabella, Wayne, Elliot, Brantley, Roger, Violet, Lian, Weston, Everleigh, Bryce, Fiona, Colton, and Russell.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: Wednesday, 02-21-24, there will be a viewing starting at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church downtown, 125 W. Ashley St. in Jacksonville, FL 32202. The service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial is set to begin at 2:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 4083 Lannie Road in Jacksonville, FL 32218, phone number 904-766-5222.
