Elizabeth “Beth” Cameron, age 68 of Jesup, Georgia, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Middleburg, Florida with her family by her side. She was born September 7, 1954 in Akron, Ohio to Mary Hamrick.
Beth attended the University of Miami, which was interrupted by life issues and then served in the United States Army. She began her career in freight shipping, working for trucking companies in the Florida Keys and in multiple locations throughout the State. Later, she served as a Title Clerk for the City of Jacksonville. Beth enjoyed time with her family and friends, always referring to this time as a “good day”, and appreciated when the grandkids came to visit. She loved working in her yard and took pride in admiring the many different flowers and trees that blossomed there. She loved decorating for holidays and made sure to proudly display her nativity scene at Christmas, and a pre-lit candy cane lane for Santa to guide in his sleigh. As she grew older, Beth loved going to the mountains, visiting the Georgia State Parks, and sitting around a campfire. In 2019, Beth and her husband, Kevin Coyne, took a trip of a lifetime to Scotland and Ireland. Beth was known to put together an impressive pre-game spread while watching the Georgia Bulldogs, even if it was just for her and Kevin. She will be dearly missed.
Beth was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Melody Key. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Coyne; her two children, Heather Springer Sierra (Andre) and Allan Springer (Ashley); and her five grandchildren, Joshua Springer, Andre Sierra II, Gabriel Sierra, Mason Springer and Wyatt Springer; her sisters Lona Banks (Moe Myers) and Kathy Taylor; and her three nieces and nephews Camiel Carter, Kyle Carter, and Caroline Taylor.
A visitation for Beth will be held Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A graveside service will occur Friday, August 25, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
