Elaine started working as a Physical Therapy assistant in high school and a few years after. She then worked as a nursing assistant for several years in Kansas City. Here in Jacksonville, she worked at Publix as a cashier.
Elaine was very active with the Hodges Presbyterian Church. She also participated in the Red Hat group for several years.
Elaine liked to bowl and participated in many leagues and tournaments. She was also known for her green thumb and took great pride in her plants, even growing a cactus plant.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents, John and Martha McKenna. She is survived by her husband Gale, her son Kevin, her daughter Kim, Kim's husband Mark, and their children, Holden and Hunter. She is also survived by her sister, Lovelle, and her husband Jim, and another sister, Alice.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Hodges Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at 10, the service will be at 11, with a reception to follow.
