Edwin "Ed" F Carr Jr.

CARR Edwin Frank Carr, Jr., age 68, passed away on September 5th in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Miami FL, and moved to Jacksonville with his family in 1962. He served with pride in the US Air Force from 1965 - 1969. Honorably discharged, he began his career as a lab technician in the chemical industry in 1969. He then became an Electronics/Instrumentation Technician in the Nuclear Industry in Barnwell SC, Pulp & Paper Industry in Pensacola FL, and Instrumentation Field Support in Virginia Beach, VA and Orange Park, FL. He retired from Anheuser-Busch Brewery in Jacksonville in 2001. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin F. Carr, Sr., and Bertha Mae Carr, and his wonderful dog Mac. He is survived by his wife, Jan; daughter, Stacey Halkovitch, Jacksonville; son, Joe Carr, Wasilla, AK; and grandchildren, Megan Halkovitch, Phoebe Carr, and Miles Carr. The family visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 6:00pm-8:00pm, at Hardage-Giddens Blanding Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32244. Funeral Service will held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11:30am, Riverside Presbyterian Church, 849 Park St., Jacksonville, FL.
