Edward George Hamilton, age 67, died on May 17, 2021 in Jacksonville Florida. He was born on December 20, 1953, in May Pen, Clarendon, Jamaica W.I. Edward attended Mount Olivet Primary School, Glenmuir High School and College of Arts, Science and Technology (now Utech) in Jamaica, and The Polytechnic of North London & University of Kent, London, England. While living in Jamaica, he was employed to West Indies Sugar Company (Monymusk Estate) and Jamaica Telephone Company (now FLOW); most recently, he was employed to Verizon Communications and Consolidated Edison of New York (CECONY). Edward was extremely dedicated to family. He had the unique ability of keeping family and friends connected, wherever they were. He also enjoyed listening to a variety of genres of music, playing chess and dominoes, writing poetry, long-distance running, and race walking. He was a former member of the NYC Road Runner Club and Gary Null’s Natural Living and Running and Walking Club.
Mr. Hamilton is predeceased by mother Enid Rose Palmer, father Joslyn George, brother Michael, and nephew Duhane. He is survived by wife Jacqui, daughter Elisa, sisters Jennifer, Verona and Claudette, brothers Patrick and Maurice, stepchildren Jodi-Ann and Justin, Aunt Hyacinth, Uncle Vincent, brothers-and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.
