Eddie Crews

Carroll “Eddie” Crews, born in Folkston, GA to Carroll Edward Crews and Pauline Herrin Crews, “Eddie” age 67 passed away on February 22, 2023 after a long illness, surrounded by his love of over 40 years, Jane and his brother James.

Eddie graduated from Fernandina Beach High School, class of 1974. Together with Jane DeWitte since 1984, they married on August 9, 2012. His career included Warehouse Designer for Barnett Brass and Copper for over 20 years. Leisure time was spent enjoying the Florida Gators Football, fishing and yard work.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Carroll Edward and Pauline Herrin Crews. Also preceded by sisters Carolyn Wright and Rhonda J. King.

He is survived by his wife, Jane D. Crews, sisters Deborah Lynn Pitts [Don], Linda Faye McAllister, Vanessa Hartzog [Gary]; brothers James Crews [Carol] and Rick Crews [Terri]. Additionally Eddie leaves to cherish his memory numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A visitation for Eddie will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Monday, February 27, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A graveside service will occur Monday, February 27, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
