Lyman attended University of Kentucky and served in the Kentucky Air National Guard before moving to Louisville to begin a 46 year career in the railroad industry. Many of those years he served as the Vice President of State Relations for CSX.
Lyman was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and a passionate sports fan. He could always be found at his son’s and grandchildren’s games. He was also a passionate follower of The University of Kentucky Wildcat basketball program - “Go Big Blue”
Lyman is survived by his wife of 49 years, Minnie; his sons Dwight and Scott; daughter-in-laws Christine and Crystal; grandchildren Kyle, Payton, Jordan, Logan, Camden and Torin all of Jacksonville, FL and his brother Jim of Henderson, KY.
Services for Lyman will be held Wednesday, July 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
