Dorothy (Dottie) May Blair Winters, 88, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019. She was born in Bristol, Connecticut on June 21, 1930. She was married to Alfred D. Winters in August of 1969. She had a career in Retail Management at Bradlee’s in Connecticut, and after moving to Jacksonville in 1973, at Service Merchandise Co. and eventually Hallmark, where she retired from. Dorothy was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Alfred D. Winters, her sister, Marion Reale, and her 2 brothers, Norman Blair and Lewis Blair. Dorothy is survived by her children, Dennis Soucy and his wife Sally, Blair R. Soucy and his wife Sharon, Lori Kincade-Henderson and her husband Alan, Lynn Fritz, and her step-son, Robert Winters and his wife Lynn. Dorothy is also survived by her sister Shirley Ferraro. Dorothy also leaves 11 grandchildren, Matthew Kincade, Crystal Kincade, Brittany Soucy-Kenworthy, Lindsay Soucy, Erika Ables, Gregory Soucy, Steven Soucy, Bryan Fritz, Eric Fritz, Jordan Winters, and Andrew Winters and 5 great-grandchildren, Darien, Kael, Ayden, Ethan, and Julia.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:15am, Thursday May 2, 2019, with Gathering of Family and Friends starting at 10:00am, and will be held at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207. Graveside Services will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Donations in memory of Dorothy can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Community Hospice of Northeast Florida. The family also welcomes any flowers for Dorothy, and they can be sent to Greenlawn Funeral Home.
