Dorothy A. Thornton age 104 of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord on February 23,2014. She was born February 20,1910 in Indiana. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Percy J. Thornton. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Beverly Stephens, grandchildren, Wanda Cotter (Greg), Donna Terry (Buzz), Sherry Bell (Cary),and Charles Stephens (Diane), 4 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be Monday March 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church 1735 Leonid Road Jacksonville, Florida. The family request in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Dorothy's honor to St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church.
