Dorothy Smith

Dorothy Finley Smith, age 70, passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 in Jacksonville, FL. Dorothy was born April 12, 1942 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to Troy and Florence (Littlejohn) Finley. She married John Edward Smith, September 28, 1959 in Nahunta, GA. Dorothy was a member of Oakleaf Baptist Church in Orange Park, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her devoted husband of 52 years John Edward Smith; one son John Michael Smith; two daughters Melanie Lundelius (Richard) and Robin S. Eshelman( Robert); nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. A visitation is scheduled from 10:00- 11:00 pm, Tuesday ,May 8, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am following the visitation. Interment will follow in Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville FL. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contribution be made in the honor of Dorothy to American Heart Association, 5851 Saint Augustine Road, Jacksonville, FL 32207 or Oakleaf Baptist Church, 800 Oakleaf Plantation Parkway, Orange Park, FL 32065.
