Dorothy Fuller was born March 8, 1924 to Harry and Katharine Mason. She was the only sister to brothers Harry and Kenneth, who both pre-deceased her. As a teenager, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. September 10, 1942 she married Herbert Graham (Graham) Fuller and they were married 51 1/2 years, until Graham's death in 1993. Their marriage was an example of lifelong love and devotion to one another. After rearing their family, Dorothy and Graham traveled extensively around the United States and in Europe.
Dorothy and Graham had three sons, Kent, Jim and Ed. Jim and his wife, Barbara, gave them 2 granddaughters, Amy and Mandy. Amy and Mandy have three sons each. Ed and his wife, Susan, gave them another granddaughter and a grandson, Jennifer and Joe. Joe also has two sons. So Dorothy has 8 great-grandSONS!! What a blessing!
Dorothy was always the type to stay busy with projects and hobbies. She was an avid reader and doll collector. She collected hundreds of antique dolls and, at one time, she ran a "doll hospital" with a friend, and they repaired dolls. She loved to swim year around. It was her favorite exercise.
She also loved to sew, crochet and sing. Her love of singing may have been inherited, as one of her ancestors was Lowell Mason, who was one of the leading figures in American church music. Among his hymns were: Cleansing Fountain, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, My Faith Looks Up to Thee. He wrote the arrangement to Joy to the World and even wrote Mary Had a Little Lamb.
Friends were very important to Dorothy and she had many! She was the kind of person that friends and family, alike will say was always kind and thoughtful. She always thought the best about people, speaking kindly to them and about them. She had a positive spirit and never raised her voice. She was one of the sweetest people one could ever know. She lived her faith, by example, not just by her words.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Until we see you in heaven Mom, Grandma, Great-Mom.....
We love you,
Your Family
