To the Estes Family:
Dot was one of the most caring and giving people I have ever known. She did so much for me, Bobbie and Joyce when our mother died. She sacrificed to help us and keep us together.  I love her dearly and will always remember our days together although they were fewer when we grew up,  never the less she was always there to help or give advise.  I truly miss her, but know she is in a better place, with no more pain or heart aches.  I look forward to seeing her again as we both knew the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior

Dorothy was the most dignified lady I have ever known, she was such a passionate and  knowledgeable nurse. I am forever greatfull for all she taught me, I know she will be sorely missed.

My Dear Grandmother...I wish I could have been able to see and talk with you one last time - I apologize for not being able to be there.  You were such a beautiful, loving and giving grandmother and I thank you so much for the  memories I have of you.  I truly believe you were welcomed into Heaven by Grandpa, Uncle Jim, Aunt Margaret, Aunt Joyce, your Mother and Father and so many other family members and are very happy to be with them again... When it is my time, I know you with be there to greet me...

We all think there are always plenty of moments in life to verbally tell a family member or friend, how much we love them, appreciate them, care about them, need them and are so happy to have them in our lives.  I am glad to have known Dorothy the past eight years of her life, thanks to having met her daughter-in-law, Christine.  Always having a kind word for me during visits, she would invite me to sit, as she talked and I listened to her fill me in on life stories about her family.  She truly cared so much for her grandsons Jimmy, Jason and Jeffry, Christine and her husband James's children.  She shared memories of Monty, Erik, Meaghan and Kyle, plus tales of her brother, three sisters, their family's and her beloved husbands past.  Stories of Christine of course, I paid the most attention to and I encouraged Dorothy, as a proud Mom,  to speak of Christine's love of her life, James.  Dorothy's memory of you all was as though each event had occurred recently.  From my outsiders perspective, Dorothy Estes loved, appreciated, cared, needed and was happy to have had each of you in her life.  I know I am not a family member but even I am saddened by her loss.  My best wishes go out to all of you.
