Dorothy grew up in Savannah, Georgia where she married Remer Lane Budreau. They settled in Jacksonville, Florida in the mid-1950s and raised their family of three children. In addition to her role as a homemaker, Dorothy was an avid golfer. She won the Jacksonville Women’s Golf Championship two consecutive years, in addition to championships at her home club. In later years Dorothy was active in the management of large rental apartment facilities.
Throughout her life, Dorothy was dedicated to serving the Lord through active involvement in the churches she attended with her family. She was a member of the Daughters of the King, an Episcopal women’s religious order, and was an active participant at several Episcopal churches in the Jacksonville area.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Dorothy Nelson (Hugh), son Bruce Budreau, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her former husband Remer Lane Budreau and son Remer Budreau.
A future memorial service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Jacksonville, Florida.
