Doris Stanley

She was born in Ware County, Georgia in 1919 and was sister to three brothers and two sisters. Doris graduated from Wacona High School in 1936, married in 1945, moved to Jacksonville, Fl.,. In the early 1950’s she move to Gainesville FL. She moved back to Jacksonville in the early 1980’s where she resided until her death.

Her passion included crocheting, knitting, sewing, and reading. Reading her bible, magazines, and books would sometimes have her up late in the evening and into the early morning. She always loved to laugh. She knew God and was persistent in her faith, enjoyed the warmth and sanctuary of her church, contributed to its cause, and was happy being a part of the congregation.
