Doris Eileen Peavy

Visitation will be between 6:00pm – 8:00pm on Tuesday, January, 29, 2019 at Hardage Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32205

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January, 30, 2019 at Hardage Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32205 with David Thomas of Christian Fellowship Temple, officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park.

Doris was born in Fort Walton Beach at Eglin A.F.B on April 17, 1950 and was adopted later by James Johnson and Wilma Johnson Fine. She married Dennis Foy Peavy on June 14, 1969 at Faith Memorial Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1969. She worked as an accountant for Burnham Construction Inc. for 7 years, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt Sr./Racing fan. She was also part owner of DP Racing that competed in the National Late Model Sportsman Series.

Doris is preceded in death by her adoptive parents James Johnson & Wilma Johnson Fine, stepfather Paul Fine; sisters Cindy Sadler, Barbara Preston, and Debbie Morgan; brothers Johnny Johnson and Bobby Johnson

Doris is survived by her loving husband Dennis F. Peavy, daughter Angela K. Peavy, sister Cherrie Wingate (Layfayette), and one grandson Anthony S. Peavy

Pallbearers will be David Burnham, Gary Reneau, Chris Brantley, Chris Burnsed, Bubba Crews, Joseph Russo
