Donna Leonellen Newberry Groves

She was born in Durant OK on June 18, 1931 and was the oldest of five children Joan, Margaret, Jim and Cindy. She was married to Paul A Groves on August 13, 1950 and they raised four wonderful children: Debbie, Jeff, Missy and Nancy.

Nonnie, so fondly callled by those that loved her so much, will be remembered for her beautiful art work, crafty projects, her love of Gator and Oklahoma Football and the wind in her hair driving her numerous convertibles. She loved colorful ctothes, large jewerly, and lots and lots of shoes. She was truly our Ya Ya.

Donna is survived by her children: Deborah Dannenfelser, Jeffrey Groves, Melissa "Missy" Groves, and Nancy Gunter. She was predeceased by one grandchild, Weston Allen Groves, and is survived by 8 remaining grandchildren: Scott Wiles, Mackenzie Illescas, Kyle Groves, Chelsea Groves, Brandon Parsons, Brittney Snyder, Jill Snodgrass and David Dannenfelser. She has 8 great grandchildren: Nathan Groves, Aidan Wiles, Gabriel Parsons, Lilly Wiles, Travis Crowder, Collin Crowder, Keri Dannenfelser, Hudson Snyder and Sebastain Illescas due in November. She was also blessed to have two wonderful sons-in- law, Jack Dannenfelser and Greg Gunter.

A memorial service will be held at 11am October 2, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd N Jacksonville, Florida 32225.
