Donna Louise Fouraker, 83, went home to be with her Lord on August 1, 2014. She was born in Jacksonville on September 13, 1930, and spent most of her life living in Bryceville. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde Jr., and seven siblings. She is survived by her children; Donna Faye Bell (Wilbur), Clyde “Peanut” Fouraker (Jane), Shirley Ledford (Doug), and Becky Lee (Mike); one sister, Rosemary Jarrard; six grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as her loving caregivers, Gloria, Clara, Alice, and Teresa. She married the love of her life at the early age of 14. Their marriage of 67 years came to a sad end when Jr. passed away in 2011. She always looked forward to their annual trips to the mountains to see the leaves change. It wasn’t unusual to see her on the tractor helping in the hay field, or at the county fairs showing off their purebred cattle. She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR. She will be lovingly remembered for her dedication to family and her homemaking talents, and was famous for her coconut cake and melt-in-your mouth biscuits. Special recognition and heartfelt appreciation goes to Pastor Chris Drum of FBC for his faithfulness in ministering to our parents and family over the past several years. What a blessing he has been. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Baldwin with Pastor Bert Hutson officiating. The viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 pm at the church. Burial will follow in Brandy Branch Cemetery. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville. Contributions to Community Hospice Foundation, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, 32257, would be welcomed.
