Mr. Moss was a lead architect at the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency in Trenton, NJ until his retirement in 1992. He was member of the American Institute of Architects and pursued his career with a passion. He received his bachelor’s degree from Blue Ridge College in Maryland and his graduate architectural training from Rutgers University. Mr. Moss was also a veteran of war, having been a member of the U.S. Army while serving in India during World War II. He was also an avid golfer until the age of 89 and could be seen at area golf courses in New Jersey until he moved to Florida in 2008. He was also a long-standing member of his church choir until his departure to Florida.
Mr. Moss was predeceased by his first wife Mary and second wife Patricia, and by his brother Theodore Moss and sister Barbara Rice. He is survived by his daughter Donna McAteer of Jacksonville, his granddaughter Ciara Dietz of Jacksonville, grandson Chase McAteer of Houston, Texas and his brother David Moss of Manchester, Massachusetts. A small ceremony will be held at St. Lukes Episcopal Church in Metuchen NJ on July 21 at 11 A.M. The Reverend Barbara Crafton will preside over the service.
