Diana Lee Stevens, born on October 27, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the beloved daughter of Ralph and Alice (Masa) Loberg.
Diana spent her childhood enjoying the waters of Lake Michigan, where she developed a lifelong passion for boating and fishing, often spending her summers in Wisconsin.
In 2010, Diana retired to Florida, where she embraced her golden years with enthusiasm and joy. She found great pleasure in playing poker and painting, activities that brought her much happiness and fulfillment. Diana was also a cherished companion to James Stemp, with whom she shared many wonderful moments. She took immense joy in being a grandmother figure to his two granddaughters.
Diana was known for her warm and friendly nature, often spending time at the pool, engaging in lively conversations with her friends. In her later years, she found comfort in watching old westerns and movies, and she cherished her phone conversations, which kept her connected to those she loved.
Diana is survived by her son, Michael R. Lubecke of Jacksonville, Florida, who was a source of pride and joy in her life. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
