Dennis Francis Wells

Dennis had a career in the Navy and his last ship was USS Roosevelt CVA42 where he was the youngest 2nd class petty officer during his time. He later worked for IND-MAR ship repairs & North Florida Shipyards where he later retired.

He was an 18 year throat cancer survivor and had a passion for welding and being a provider for his family.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Judith Marie Wells, his sister; Donna Marie Zaher, sons; Donald and Dennis Wells, along with 7 grandchildren.

Inurnment at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contribution be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
