Delores Hike Jabour

Delores Hike Jabour, 95, passed away peacefully after a long illness at her home surrounded by her family on August 24, 2024. She was born September 10, 1928 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Amelia and David Hike.

Delores and her husband owned Karl’s Clothing Store for over 40 years in Vicksburg, MS. She was known for her generosity and entertaining family and friends. Delores was very involved in her family and will be missed by all.

Delores is predeceased by her husband Karl Jabour Jr., son Karl (Jay) Jabour III and daughter Karlene Slyman.

Delores is survived by her daughter Deborah (Sonny) Stuart, daughter-in-law, Marlene (Daniel) Soud, son-in-law Floyd Slyman, grandchildren Karly Shreders, Katie (Drew) Stuart-Spinner, Christopher Slyman, Jason (Cayce) Jabour, Lauren Slyman and Julie (Mitch) Buchanan, great-grandchildren Amelia, Eli, Emery, Caroline and Breland and many extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bridge Initiative at Aspire Church or the charity of your choice.

A funeral service with reception to follow for Delores will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Aspire Church San Marco, 1435 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Following the reception will be a committal service at 2:30 PM at Oaklawn Cemetery, San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
