SEAY David Beaumont Seay, (Dave to all his friends), 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep June 27, 2014 in the care of River Garden Senior Services. Dave was born November 19, 1929 in Flourtown, PA to Clem and Ethel Seay. He attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, enlisted in the Navy as an aerial photographer, and then attended Penn State University. Later he continued his love of photography as a sales representative for the Eastman Kodak Company while raising 4 children. His work took him from Iowa to Michigan to Georgia and then finally Mandarin where he had resided since 1977. Dave was a devoted husband to his wife Lois for 57 years until her passing in 2009. Though not together physically, Dave continued to love and cherish Lois until his last day. Their love was an inspiration to us all and it is comforting to know that they are reunited once again. Music being one of Dave’s greatest passions, we are confident he is now singing to Lois with the heavenly choir. Dave was a member of the Florida Tackle & Gun Club, a Mason, a member of the Mandarin Lodge, a member of the River City and Big Orange Choruses, a Docent of Mandarin Museum and Historic Society, and an avid member of Mandarin United Methodist Church for 37 years. He will be greatly missed by his sons, David Jr. (Nancy), Rick; daughters, Linda (James) Hurley, Dr. Susie (Mark) Richardson; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 1, 2014, 2pm Mandarin United Methodist Church, 11270 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mandarin United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32223. www.hgmandarin.com (904) 288-0025.
