David retired from Pepsi and was a former member of the Jacksonville Sheriffs 4-wheel drive posse. David was a member of the American Legion Post 137, Sons of the Legion. He was the former owner of SCI, Security Consultants Incorporated, who handled security measures for numerous country artist and rock stars. He went on to build a successful 20+ year career in the restaurant maintenance business.
A man of generous spirit, he never met a stranger, and used his considerable talents to help anyone. Known and respected by many, David was truly a friend to all.
Predeceased by his parents, and his sister Pamela Bowman. David is survived by his wife Vickie; nephew, Paul Bowman of Florida; mother in law, Ms. W. M. Norris; brother-in-law, Ronnie Leopard of Florida; and cousins, Kennie Tetlow-Watson of Virginia, Richard Green of Texas, Barbara Green-Catalano of Florida, Priscilla Tetlow-Baker of Virginia, and Sandra Tetlow- Albee of New Hampshire.
Family and friends are invited to an evening of remembrance and to celebrate a life well lived on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
Please come dressed casual and bring your “David Stories” to share. Services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Cemetery 4300 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207 at 2:00pm.
