David Evans passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013. David was born in Vale, North Carolina to Jesse and Willie Mae (Reynolds) Evans. David has lived in Jacksonville, FL since he retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant Major after 30 years of service. He served during the Korean Conflict and two tours of Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters. Survivors include his loving wife Fran Evans; one daughter Susan Herndon (Jerry);one son Anthony Evans(Kim); two sisters; Jo Carey and Jean Duncan (Dolian); one brother Ira Young; Three grandchildren Alan (Patricia), Amy, and Jack; two great grandchildren Kaylan and Donovan. Viewing will be held at 10:30 and graveside services will be held 11:00 am Monday, March 25, 2013 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205 with Pastor Randy Kisser officiating.
