A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says “Grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter and the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. Continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions, no matter how small. Go on with your life don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we are together again.”

People say about a nice person that he or she would give you the shirt off their back.  David  literally would...to anyone, whether he knew them or not.  His generosity, kindness and strength were among  the MANY attributes that he displayed on a daily basis.  He was such an inspiration to me!!  I will miss him every day!!

Our deepest sympathy to David's family and to the entire Brandt and Reeves families.  I have posted a poem below that I have always liked, and I hope it provides some comfort to you.

"The Gift of Knowing You"

There are gifts of many treasures
For both the young and old,

To great boxes filled with gold.

Family - my heart is with you all.  I wish I could be there for the service. Sending hugs from Colorado. Extra hugs for my mom and uncles  in the loss of their brother and to Angie, Jason, Danny and April in the loss of their dad.

David touched so many people in our neighborhood’s heart with his smile, listening ear, kindness and easy going spirit!  We took many walks together with his dog Amigo and my dog Michael, sharing our lives and encouraging each other.  When he was too sick to walk I would take Amigo  with Michael and many times, Jason staying with his father taking care of him, would join us  with Rosco.  David’s family met for family day lunch every Tuesday and David looked forward to that...I always admired the family commitment and care.  Michael and I will miss seeing him when we walk by the house.  His struggle and determination to keep on keeping on with this earthly life finally ends; however, the memories live on in my heart and so many others!  Thank you for sharing your life with me David❤️
