Darlene Bryant, 62, Florida native and longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away suddenly on February 1, 2012. She was born in Lake City, Florida, daughter of the late Estel Collins and Lorene Bibby Collins who survives. She was predeceased by an infant son, Heath.
Also surviving are her loving husband of 46 years, Gene, two children, Michelle Anderson (Cam), Sean Bryant, a brother, Gerald Collins (Linda), four grandchildren, Alex Bryant, Eva Bryant, Teagan Anderson and K. C. Anderson, a cousin, Jan Malone – the sister she always wanted and numerous nieces, a nephew and dear friends.
Darlene was an excellent cook and loved cooking with her grandchildren. An avid gardener, she excelled at raising violets and always enjoyed spending time with family, especially at the beach. She will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends at San Jose Church of Christ on Friday, February 3 from 2:00 pm – 3:30. A celebration of her life will follow the visitation at 3:30 pm. Minister Scott Shifferd and Elder Dan Nix will officiate.
