I don't know where to begin saying what I think about Daniel and the sacrifices he made for others despite what he, himself, was going through. Still hoping for a cure in, at least, the lifetime of the next generation (in my family, that means my many nieces and nephews). My heartfelt condolences to Daniel's family!

Daniel appeared and spoke via his YouTube presentation to a class of some 400 freshmen and in two talks on Huntington's I gave at Texas State University and at a talk in Jacksonville, Florida. All were sobered and touched by his bravery and articulateness about the realities of HD.

So very sorry about the loss of Daniel. Susie and I send our deepest condolences and good thoughts to you all. He was a fighter all the way and an advocate for all of us in the struggle to find a cure for this devastating disease.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Mundy family and the McGuire family.  Daniel was an inspiration and a real joy to me and I am proud to be a part of his life and his family.  I will truly miss him and his smile.  We will meet again. But as the years go by and until its our turn to meet our maker we must always remember the good times we had with him.

I met Dan when we started at UNF and we ended up pledging Pi Kappa Phi together.  He was such a great person and we had some great times as pledges and brothers. My prayers are with you and your family.

On behalf of the 911 Communications Staff at JSO, our heartfelt condolences are with Daniel's family. Many of us watched Daniel grow up through the words of his uncle retired 911 Lt. Dennis McGuire. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Our deepest sympathies to the entire family. Daniel showed us how to live well and how to die well.  Even in the end, he was a role model for strength and character. He was always working toward the final goal of a cure for Hungtingtons; if not for himself, then for others.  We are blessed to have known him and your entire family who has shown strength & love during such adversity.  Our prayers are with you.
