I am sad to say I lost touch with Dan for numerous years and never could find out how to reach him.  I managed apartment communities for many many years and Dan did all of my painting for me.

He was a very good man, dependable, funny and fun to be around.  I will continue to miss him and wish I could have found him just a few months earlier.  My condolences to Kathy and her family.

I am a customer who knew Dan as the noon 'til closing manager at Englewood Laundry.  He had had a career as a building painter.  When the building boom went bust, he said he did what he had to do to survive like raking leaves and other similar jobs. He told me that as a young man he was in the Marines. I think he said he was drafted.  It was during the Vietnam era.  But, after boot camp, they kept him at Parris Island in support of  recruit training operations. He was a nice and considerate man.  My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
