My heart goes out to Daniel's family. He was loving, kind, silly, always willing and ready to help and uplift others... I wish I'd had the chance to thank him for all he did for me & all he taught me. I am so grateful for the time and love we shared. I cherish the memories of him I am blessed enough to have.

Daniel, it was a year ago today that I received the phone call no one ever wants to receive….some say it gets easier over time I beg to differ.  I miss you every moment of every day….my heart is still broken but I take solace in knowing your with your Mom an you have no more earthly concerns….❤️‍🩹

I thought of my dear childhood friend today because it was his birthday and thought I will get in touch, had been 6 years since I had seen him last. My little brother Daniel, we called him that because to my sister Audrey and I he was the little brother we always wished for, a neighbor kid with two super nice parents, we lived at each other's houses for years. We rode the same school bus, hung out in the back easement behind the houses and played in the afternoons, sat on the electric box outside and talked for hours. When your parents moved from the neighborhood it was like the end to an era, we were in our early twenties by then but still continued to hang out and be close for many years. I will never not think of you as my little brother, when I was travelling you were one of the few pictures I carried in my book. I remember us talking when I lived in Hawaii about your plans for the future and how excited you were, your little girl just being born. Then I had a child, Audrey had a child and like most childhood friends we grew up and grew apart and did not talk as much. Today is your birthday Daniel, I love you so much man. I always will. RIP The Great Daniel Patrick Brunswick January 26th, 1982 - November 11th, 2020.

Jim, Cade, and Family, 
I loved Daniel.  He was my Brother, my best friend, my confidant, my family. I am so sorry for your loss and am here for you for anything if ever needed. Daniel had a knack for making every single person he loved feel like they were the most important to him in his life. When he was with you, you had 100% of him, and he never failed to remind you that you were cared about, had his protection, and love. Daniel was odd, in a  gloriously funny and sweet kind of way. He was one of the smartest people I knew while usually pretending he wasn't, He had goals he wouldn't admit he had, and cared even more than he ever let on, about everything. He never worried about what people would think about his horrible fashion choices and would tell you "this is who I am" if you said anything. He remembered the little details that most people forget, and he was an amazing story teller, usually embellishing his own truths, but always worth listening.  He made me laugh in times of sorrow, love in times of anger, and gave me strength in times of weakness. I will forever be missing a piece of my heart with his passing. 

Daniel & I found ourselves thrust unceremoniously into each other’s lives when Jim & I decided to be together.  Even though it started as just an acknowledgement, he made an effort to accept me.   We became casual friends, and eventually, real family.  

Daniel had an ongoing obscure sense of humor, and deeply loved whom he loved.  I always saw that and knew that.  

During this time of mourning, I also celebrate his welcome-home to Heaven.   

You were my family, Daniel.  As I celebrate for you in one way, I deeply mourn you in another.  I loved you.   Be at Peace.

although we didn't get to see Daniel much we will miss him and will always remember him in our thoughts and our hearts.,
