Curtis L. McMillan, 63, passed away August 2, 2014 at the Bailey Hospice Center in St. Augustine, FL. Curtis was born in Ambrose, Coffee County, GA to the late Willie Bill and Alma Carver McMillan. He served in the US Army. Curtis moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1969. Curtis is survived by his wife, Freida Platt McMillan; sons, Mark McMillan (Julie) and Ray Davis; daughters, Dena Morgen (Bob) and Faye Miller (Michael); sisters, Emma Carter, Barbara Suggs (Russell), and Inez Davis; and grandchildren/fishing buddies, Taylor Terry, Todd Thigpen, Tripp, Hunter and Ty Taratus, Tanner and Cole McMillan, Kearsten and Robbie Morgen. He is preceded in death by his bothers, Tillman, Otis, Willie, Jesse and Bobby McMillan; and sisters, Myrtice Bernard, Mavis Wooten, and Thelma Carter. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm, Wednesday, August 6 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with the funeral service following at 2:00pm at the funeral home.
