Corey Darin Hobbs

Corey Darin Hobbs, 54, passed away on December 13, 2023 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Maysville, KY on August 27, 1969 to Jack and Pat Hobbs. Corey grew up in Northern Kentucky where he enjoyed playing basketball and bodybuilding. He graduated from the University of Kentucky and worked as a Registered Nurse. He enjoyed spending time with his family, in particular with his nieces and nephews. Corey gave his heart to Jesus at age 12, while attending Newport Nazarene Church.

Surviving family members include his parents; Pat and Jack Hobbs; his sister, Melissa Jill (Jay) Hurrelbrink; nieces and nephews, Jillian and Justin Hurrelbrink, Sydney and Paris Hobbs; and great-niece, Skylar Hobbs. He was preceded in death by brother Clint Hobbs.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, 11801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32223. Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Rev. Mark Seagle and Rev. Cecil Seagle officiating the service. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.
