Conrad Witten Hale, 89, of Morristown, TN, passed away Sunday, September 30. Conrad served with the 8th Air Force during WWII, and was awarded a European Theater Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, retired from CSX railroad after 35 years as a bridge engineer, and long served as Elder in the Presbyterian Church. Conrad was an adventurer who enjoyed fishing, traveling, and talking about his experiences.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Wylie Hale, a sister Katherine Hale Temple (Jim), daughters Karen Heim (David), Sandra Hollensead (Paul), and Camille Quartz; a son Barney Hale (Linda), seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 6, noon to 2:00pm with a Memorial Service following at 2:00pm, at Geneva Presbyterian Church, 1755 State Rd 13, Switzerland, FL. 32259. Donations in Conrad's honor may be made to Geneva Presbyterian Church.
