It is with great sadness that the family of Clyde Merritt Rice announces his passing on Monday, April 15, 2019, at the age of 81.
Clyde was born September 19th, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Clyde and Loretta Rice. He married Malinda Schoen on January 30, 1960. They had three children Denise, Darrell, and Linda Jo.
Clyde was in the Navy for 4 years. He spent most of his career working for Bendix, where he got to work closely with the Apollo launches. He then moved on to Bremer Medical and eventually retired with them. Clyde enjoyed traveling, and photography. He was able to visit all 48 of the joined states, and travel overseas with the Navy.
Clyde will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Denise (Gerry) Callison, and Linda (Greg) Spain. Clyde will also be remembered by his four grandchildren Amanda (Travis) Stevens, Kris Yunk, Kimberly (Ryan) Quinn, and Rebecca (Jacob) Grajeda, and three great grandchildren Mason, Trenton, and Abry.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde A. Rice and Loretta Rice, his loving wife of 49 years, Malinda Rice, son Darrell Rice.
