Clementina Futch (DiGregorio-Izzi-Colucci-Futch), a Widow, Mother and Grandmother, died peacefully on January 6, 2018 at the age of 84 in Jacksonville, Florida.Her sudden and unexpected death was due to a fatal brain injury. The widow of her recently deceased husband, James W. Futch is survived by her four children, Rosanna Dixon Colucci, Amleto Colucci, Vollie E. Futch, III, and Elizabeth (Lisa) Futch-Evans; six grandchildren, James Canipe, Brandi Canipe-Reed, Dominic Colucci and Bianca Colucci, Vollie E. Futch IV and Corbin Van Futch; also survived by ten great grandchildren; and multiple Italian nephews and nieces.
Clementina was born on January 4, 1934 in Naples, Italy where she was raised and grew up during the tragedies of World War II. After her marriage to James she became an American Citizen and Homemaker and built a family with her husband that lasted for 52 years. She was an incredible Mother and a strong woman; a devoted and loving wife, a remarkable Grandmother and just a beautiful person with a good heart, a genuine soul and an unshakable faith in God. She loved everybody unconditionally. Her death is a deep and heartfelt loss to everyone as she was the absolute Matriarch of the family.
Her funeral is scheduled on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Chapel Hills Funeral Home & Cemetery; Visitation from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm with Memorial Services at 12:30pm followed by burial and reception. All are welcome to attend and to celebrate the life of this irreplaceable woman. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home and donations to Community Hospice to honor the memory of James W. Futch, as they are reunited at last. We love you Mamma.
