Claudia was always a person you welcomed to see because you just knew that she was going to say something positive and encouraging towards you....and she did it with such a genuineness and sincerity that you knew it came from her heart and the heart of Jesus.  Who would not miss a person like this - but I rejoice in knowing that I will see her smile and hear her laughter again in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ . All who may read this please ensure that you have made your reservations for that precious homecoming and  eternal fellowship with Claudia and Jesus. 

Claudia and I were very close friends for over 20 years. She was kind, caring, gentle, and full of love and joy.  She loved to laugh. We spent one night on a retreat staying up all night and laughing.   It was wonderful!

Claudia was a great counselor. She counseled many men, women, businesses and churches. She helped many pastors and other counselors. She helped organizations set up policies on many important matters. After retirement, people still called her for counseling. Many people have shared with me how influential she was in their lives.  I never even knew she was their source of excellent advise. 

Claudia was also an influential Bible teacher. She taught the true meaning behind many words that gave us a greater understanding of the Bible. She wasn’t a fast teacher, we spent a year and a half going through the book of Acts!  She loved God’s grace and wanted everyone to truly experience His gift. She was so intelligent and freely shared her knowledge with anyone who wanted to listen. 

Claudia knew that God leads us through Bible study, prayer and other Christians. She started a small prayer group in her home which I was fortunate enough to be a part of. We all grew closer together in brotherly love. We saw a lot of answered prayers.  Claudia was a catalyst in leading other people to greater good. 

She loved you, Rich and Sophie. She talked about how both of you had stepped up to help her. She was so proud of you two. She loved all her family. She loved seeing and being with all her children snd grandchildren. Jake and Mason, she also talked about how you too had stepped up. She was so proud and appreciative. Lisa and Jenny, she so enjoyed being with you and often talked about your younger days together. Her Mom, Betty and sisters Jackie and Debbie were always laughing together. She enjoyed watching movies with you guys. 

Claudia cherished all of those around her and we all cherished her.   I am so grateful to have known and loved her. 





Claudia was a true friend and a devoted prayer warrior. She had a great desire for everyone to know Jesus (John 3:16). 
Claudia had the best laugh in the world...unfiltered and joyful.
She loved and cared deeply for people. Claudia always had time to listen, and “Wild Horses” couldn’t keep her from swaying to a good song. 
She impacted my life greatly... I mean GREATLY! Every time we talked, she reminded me of my worth as a child of God. I know she wants everyone to understand that kind of worth which is worth more than gold!

Always a chuckle to remember the celebration breakfasts we had at Famous Amos  on the first day of school for 5  years lots of love and laughter as we got our boys  in school. Claudia was the most excited and always such a loving mom

Aunt Claudia was always so incredibly sweet, kind and generous. She had the biggest heart and the biggest smile (with the biggest laugh to match!) She was always so encouraging of my music. I loved her dearly. We last spoke on my birthday this past September and I will cherish that conversation, and all of the memories we shared together, forever. My love goes out to all of the family. I am sorry I cannot be there in person to celebrate her amazing life with all of you. 

Claudia was one of the most compassionate people I know. Lived her faith out every day. Thank you Lord for her gifts. You had a purpose for her life and she knew that purpose. Much love and comforting prayers for Rich and her family.

Growing up visiting the Segers. One of the most distinct memories is listening to my Mom talk to Claudia. She always had one of the best laughs, would fill a room with love.  Wish I could give her a hug and tell her how much she meant to me. Much love to Jake, Mason and Rich. 

She was such a devoted and caring individual. Her love for her family and grandchildren was second to none.   She was the best. 

I was blessed to have had Claudia as a therapist. I still remember some of our sessions and her unique way of reaching inside my mind to help me. We were also aquainted outside of therapy but she was always a consummate professional. When I would see her outside the office she was always smiling and made me feel better just because. Claudia was one of the sweetest and purest people l know. The world is darker now that she has passed. Oh and her hugs were the best.

Claudia was so welcoming, each time I got to visit with her was special, I always left feeling better and greatfull for our time together.  She knew how get her you focused on the important things, God and your relationship with him.  Your family and your relationship with them.  Thank you Claudia, God's speed.

We are so saddened to hear of Claudia's passing.  She was a powerful woman of God who knew Jesus as her Savior and knew where she was headed.  Our prayers go with Rich and all the family as you mourn her absence for now.  May the dear Lord be your comfort in the days ahead.  Buddy & Elaine Overby

Claudia was such a sweet and caring person, always glad to see us and quick to greet with a hug!   We will miss her and our prayers are with Rich, Sophie and the rest of the family.  May you find comfort in your grief, cherish the memories of Claudia, and look forward to being reunited in Heaven one day.  

Claudia and I always loved getting together to share our joy in the Lord. She had such love for the family of the Lord. She taught ladies bible study at SCC and was always willing to reach out to share her love and advice.Because of her illness there were many times she had to push through to prepare for our lesson. She never let us down and she never complained. She is dearly loved and missed
