Keeping y'all in my thoughts & prayers. Christi is truly loved & missed.

Christie was my 4th grade teacher at Hendricks Day School during the 1999-2000 school year. Ms. Ginzl is one of my favorite teachers ever! She made learning so fun. That year I really learned to love school. I will always remember the happiness of her classroom. I know I am one of countless students who will always remember her!

My deepest sympathy goes out to Christie’s family. She was a wonderful part of my childhood while attending St.Joseph’s and Bishop Kennedy. I loved how much fun we all had as a group- especially spend the nights!  Christie was a blessing to me then and I know she has been to her family, friends, and students- she is missed! 

I was so stunned to hear of Christie’s passing this afternoon and only wish I’d known earlier so I could have attended the funeral. Christie taught my oldest two to swim  at the old Pickwick Park pool when she lifeguarded there. And I believe she babysat at least once for us. Her oldest and my youngest son graduated from Bishop Kenny the same year. So we’ve run across each other through the years, also visiting yearly as her extended family walked by our beach cottage on St. Simon’s Island on many July 4ths. She was such a lovely lady and my heart goes out to all of you in your great loss. May she rest in peace, and may you all find comfort in fond memories. My prayers are with you! 🙏🏻

I only knew Christie for a short time as I was on her Team at Merrill Road Elementary in Kindergarten. But for the brief time I knew her, I was blessed by her sweet spirit and compassionate heart. Christie and I shared hallway Teacher Talk, lifted each other up through texts, and prayed together through this past year. I am heartbroken for her Family's loss, but I will always remember the way her eyes lit up when she talked about her children and her Family. May the peace of God which transcends all understanding guard our hearts and minds as we all grieve her loss and celebrate her life. 

Christie and I first met at the Mommy & Me group at Holy Family Catholic Church when Sara and one of my daughters participated as toddlers.  Christie and I went on to work together at Holy Family Catholic School, and we even taught each other’s children.  Christie’s devotion to God and her family always shined so very bright.  She taught my children to pray and she led our entire school in our annual Catholic Schools Week festivities each year. Christie’s gentle, humble nature will forever be remembered.  ❤️Sara❤️, Jacob, Drew, and Jeff, please know you are in my prayers and my family’s prayers.

Christie and I became friends with both of her sons being the same ages as my two daughters and in school together at Holy Family from Pre-K through 8th grade graduation. And I worked in the church nursery where I’d get to play with Sara every Sun.  I have many fond memories. She was a great mom & wife & friend to many! Prayers go out to Jeff, Drew, Jacob & Sara. RIP Christie 🙏🏼

I had the privilege of working with Christie at Holy Family and teaching Jacob and Sara. Christie was always full of life and a devoted teacher. She loved teaching! We will miss you, Christie. May you rest in peace.

I was blessed to have known Christie as a friend for many years. We met when our children were together in pre-K and went on to become good friends and later coworkers at Holy Family. Christie was a dedicated teacher and a devoted mother. She loved her students , her children, and her husband. I always enjoyed her sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace with the Lord, my dear friend, Christie. 

I loved Christie!  I was many years her elder and yet we were dear friends.  Being new to Jacksonville, I met and formed a bond.with Christie. What a warm and lovely person she always was! I mentioned to Christie that I was very interested in the history of Flagler.  She offered to take me there and to show me all.  She mentioned her and her families love  of Flagler.  Christie’s love, joy and enthusiasm will remain with me always.    I will miss her dearly.

I had the privilege of teaching and working with Christie for 10 years.  I had the honor of also being able to call her my friend.  I will truly miss her.  Jeff, Drew, Jacob and Sara you are in my prayers.

So sorry to hear the news. Had the pleasure of knowing Christie when she was in high school and at St Stephens in Winter Springs. Praying for your family 

Christie and I took Lamaze together when we were pregnant with our first babies!! We quickly became friends and our boys had many play dates as babies. I moved to Georgia, but Christie and I always stayed in touch. I have so many fond memories of us scrapbooking our boy’s early years together. Christie was such a devoted and loving mom. I feel so blessed to have known her. I am praying hard for her husband, children, mom and sisters. May all the beautiful memories bring you comfort. 

I’m so glad that Christie was able to visit us in Japan in 2011. Christie loved baseball (our Dad’s favorite sport) - and we were “all in” at the Tokyo Dome to see the Giants. 

I taught with Christie at Holy Spirit and she was my daughter’s Kindergarten teacher during that time.  She gave my daughter such a wonderful introduction to learning. 
My prayers to the Ginzl and Harless families. May you find comfort in your memories and those of the many people whose life Christie has touched. 

Christie and I taught 4th grade together for 3 years at Hendricks Day School at the beginning of both of our teaching careers (when I was old enough to be her mother!). We developed a wonderful friendship. What a blessing she was to me! She was fun and loving, with a sparkle in her eyes. Her creativity was a blessing to all of the students we taught. I was sorry to see her go on to other teaching opportunities, but we kept in touch, mostly via FaceBook as the years went by. It was a joy to watch her family grow and to know how much each one meant to her. I can only imagine the grief her family is feeling right now, and I pray that they will be comforted in the knowledge that she is with Jesus.

Christie was such a beautiful soul who brought a smile and laughter with her wherever she went. She was an excellent teacher to work alongside and loved her students immensely. Her love of family was so evident in all the special memories she created with them. Christie was my dear friend and will be missed so very much. RIP my sweet friend. 

Please accept our condolences to all members of the Harless, and Ginzl Families on such an unimaginable loss. May the Lord fill you with strength and wisdom to cope with such a difficult moment. Grant her eternal rest Lord and may perpetual light shine for her so that she may rest in peace, Amen.

There are times when you meet someone in your life, and god has made that reason beyond what you will ever fully understand. 

Our family has had the honor to know Christie as a neighbor, a friend and our son’s 3rd grade teacher. She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

You organized crafts for kids , treat or trick as a group, Easter egg hunts, the common yelled out phrase. "CAR" when all the dozen kids played in the neighborhood.  
You will always be remembered for the generous heart you shared with others. We saw you last at church and never knew it was our final hug. May you be at peace and your spirit live in the hearts of others. 
We love you and will miss you.
