Charles Patten Turner

Charles Patten Turner, age 94, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at his home. Charles was a veteran of WWII serving from 1941 to 1945, as a Staff Sergeant and high speed radio operator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor M. Turner. Surviving are his children, (from oldest to youngest) Beverly Symes, Charlene Perry, Carol White, Howard Turner, and Cora Bishop; eight grandchildren, Craig, Danyelle, Shawn, Jeremy, Johnathan, Jason, Shelley and Emma; and eleven great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Seelenbrandt of Scituate, Rhode Island.

Relatives and friends may greet his family on Monday, March 9 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Hardage-Giddens, Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida. Funeral services will be held 11:00am on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 6133 San Jose Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida.
