Charles was born in Highland Park, Michigan on July 30, 1950. At a young age he began learning the piano, and later started to play the guitar which grew into a lifelong love of music. One of his favorite activities was spending time with his children. He also enjoyed Baseball and Hockey, and studying Family Law.
He leaves behind his six children: Cade, Virginia (Alex), Clayton, Curtis, Christian, and Victoria, and three grandchildren: Eva, Alexandria, and William.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Myrtle Pearsall, and his brother Thomas Romero.

A a celebration of life for Charles will be held Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 SAN JOSE BLVD, JACKSONVILLE, FL 32207, followed by a reception.
