Cecilia was a wonderful mother to her 4 boys. Her whole focus in life were her boys and you could not have met a more dedicated and loving mother. Cecilia enjoyed painting, knitting, and crocheting. Cecilia was born in Colombia, South America in 1930 and came to the USA in 1954. She did not speak any English when she arrived in the United States but quickly learned English while attending the University of Indiana.
She would later earn a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from the University of Colorado. She met her future husband (later divorced) while attending the University of Colorado and had her 4 boys.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her older brothers, Victor and Roberto and sister Bertha. Cecilia is survived by her sister Rosalba living in Colombia and her 2 brothers Huberto (Bert) from Louisiana and Mario from Orlando. She is also survived by her 4 sons, Kenneth R. Smith and his wife Angel from Kissimmee, Kurt L. Smith and his wife Daryl from Connecticut, Kevin A. Smith and his wife Diana (who provided wonderful care for Cecilia the last 3 years of her life) from Jacksonville, and Karl E. Smith and his wife Pati from Port Richie. She also had 7 grandchildren, Truleigh, Joshua, Jazimine, Madison, Karl Jr., Ariel and Brittany and 5 great-grandchildren.
Cecilia's wishes were to have no formal services and let her children reflect on her life in their own way.
